One of the most common ways to get more power from LADA engine is to increase the volume. Increase the engine capacity is possible by installing a crankshaft with a large crank stroke, as well as installing larger diameter LADA pistons. It is worth noting that increasing the engine volume increases the consumption of the fuel-air mixture. The standard LADA carburetor will no longer be able to "feed" a larger volume, it will need to be modified or replaced. When using an injection engine, you will need to reconfigure the electronic control unit (ECU). When using a crankshaft with a large crank stroke, the LADA pistons rise and fall in the cylinder block in a larger hight, which increases the volume of the LADA engine. To avoid the piston leaving the upper plane of the block, special LADA pistons with an offset hole for the piston pin are required. Example:
When installing the crankshaft with a stroke of the piston from the top dead center (TDC) to the bottom dead center (BDC) of 88 mm in the cylinder block LADA 21213, where it is installed from the factory crankshaft LADA 21213 with a stroke from 80 mm, the piston will rise 4 mm higher and fall 4 mm lower. So you will need LADA pistons with an offset hole for the piston finger of 4 mm and install a larger-diameter throttle. The capacity of a standard throttle may not be enough for a LADA engine with a large working volume.
