Selecting spare parts for engine assembly is a very complex process. Much attention is paid to the selection of spare parts for the timing system, such as LADA camshaft, valve plates, intake and exhaust valves, but very little attention is paid to the gasket of the LADA cylinder head. The LADA cylinder head gasket is the link between the cylinder head and the cylinder block. It is the gasket that experiences all the temperature overloads, increased gas pressure. A burnt-out gasket can cause serious damage and, consequently, expensive engine repairs. When choosing a cylinder head gasket, you should pay attention to the material it is made of. It should be uniform shaped, not crumble or delaminate. The foil around the cylinder holes must not be damaged or cracked. Around the foil, there should be no changes in the color of the material of the strip itself. To date, the LADA cylinder head gasket made by stamping from a metal sheet has appeared for offer. When installing a multi-layer metal gasket, do not forget that it has smaller thickness – this leads to an increase in the compression ratio of the engine.
